Actually there is a lot of M3 drivers that would never get it with 'floppy paddles'! You should see some of the DCT vs 6MT threads, crazy! And this video is actually pretty funny compared to the LAME Motor Trend video.

BTW, My M3 was 6MT, and yes it is 0.00000000004sec slower around the Ring than a DCT.

More like... The 1M with the M3's engine is what an M3 should be.

All the automatic transmission humor is spot on, and sure to ruffle some feathers here.

Imagine how focused and pure a drivers car the M3 would be today if it had NEVER been offered in automatic? Maybe a true evolution of the original E30 M3 as the video suggests. But then how is BMW gonna rake in the mega $$$$.

i love both cars

in spring i almost bought an e92M3 with dct and 4000km on the clock - then i thought about an e46M3 CSL with 60k km which would have smg

i am pretty sure dct or smg is cool - never drove one but hey - if it wasnt good they would not have used it in the CSL which is the most hardcore bmw ever made*

then i ended up ordering the 1M and now i have to wait till september

Except for Top Gear and Fifth Gear, I normally cringe when car reviewers try to act. However, this was pretty funny. I really enjoyed it.
