![]() ![]() APP Tunes 1M Coupe to 410hp Advanced Performance Parts (APP) joins the bevy of tuners having a crack at tuning the BMW 1M coupe. At the heart of the tuning package is an ECU software tune, larger intercooler and lightweight titanium exhaust, combining to produce 410hp (up from the standard 340 hp). The titanium exhaust also shaves 50% off the weight of the factory exhausts. Handling is enhanced with KW V3 coilovers with DDC, which can be controlled via an iPhone app! Stopping power is increased with a set of Movit Cer Ceramic brakes system featuring six pot front and four pot rear calipers. The wheels seen here are ATS super light wheels, wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires. The interior is adorned with BMW Performance parts such as the highly desired alcantara performance steering wheel and racing seats. All these goodies and performance upgrades don't come cheap however. The complete set of upgrades (without ceramic brakes) comes in at 14,000 Euro. The ceramic brake system costs a separate 20,000 Euro! Via zercustom |

LOL, i totally misread the thread title. Thought I read a BMW/iTunes APP tuned the 1M for the HP increase. But the coilover adjustment app is cool. Holy moly, that's a lot coin! egads. |

Is it just me or does that steering wheel look ENORMOUS?
Is the performance wheel larger than stock or is it just the way this picture was taken? |

410 chp is ~348rwhp @ 15% drive train loss, this is totally acceptable with moderate boost with the stock IC on 93 oct. I'm not sure what type of gas they're running but more boost with a more efficient intercooler can surely hit those type of numbers.

"estimated 410hp"
The original post was just edited. It no longer says "estimated" so it must have just come off the dyno. Hmmmm. The wheel is the same size as stock. I think they used a wide angle lens for the pic.

And for the record - both are less user friendly on road cars than regular steering wheel. This flat bottom stuff works in single seater where steering lock is like 1-2 or something, not in road cars where it's 3 or so. Whenever I see this mod I just ![]() The project itself is cool to showcase the tuning company, but I'd stop ripping Job Sibal's stripe layout as it's already on second car, almost identical sans colors. ![]()
