My Schmiedmann LCI tail lights don't work

I'm confused. I bought new LCI taillights from Schmiedmann and they only offer two choices - tails for xenon cars and tails for non-xenon cars. So I bought the non-xenon - I have halogens on front.

I installed mine today and the parking lights wouldn't light up. So I removed them and compared them to my old lights. What I noticed is that the large bulb (the one on it's own socket - not on the four-light board) is the parking light. My old lens housing has two little terminals on there which trigger the bulb and the LED tubes, and the new lenses from Schmiedmann does not have those litte terminals on the taillight housing. I guess they're necessary for making a connection, because the bulb won't light without touching those little terminals. What's up with this? Anyone have a solution to this?

This is the factory tail light socket:

Yeah, I read your post. Was afraid you ended up doing that. I sent an email to Schmiedmann asking what they know. I think I'm screwed.

Garage List
2009 128i  [10.00]
Updated my post from awhile ago to include that the "Halogen" version does not work on cars (2008-2011). - http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=674384

Better to get the "Xenon" version...

And the Schmiedmann site is wrong about this information.
