If I remember correctly that bar is clear anodized aluminum.
If they used a caustic cleaner the anodizing is likely etched and there is nothing you can do except strip an re-anodize or powder coat.
I'd be pissed.
At minimum they should pull and pay for a NICE powder coat. Or replace it.
