Yep!
That's oxidation... despite not being winter driven.
It's a defective part, and the dealer says FU.

I replaced my trunk roundell July of 2023 with a piece purchased from ECS for $70. It remains in great shape, although the price has indeed gone up....

Wow sorry, that really sucks! I bought a replacement rear badge from BMW Toronto ($72 CDN in 2021). Luckily it's still fine.

The least they could do is give you a break on the price of a new one.

Damn! I think down here Genuine replacement parts have a 2-year warranty. They should comp you just because it makes the brand look bad. The Roundel should outlast the car, NGL.

VRSF charge pipe came in. Tried installing but unfortunately the kit comes with a clamp that’s too small for n55 intercooler outlet. Also does not include the charge pipe to throttle body clip.

Overall the pipe fits great. But the rubber elbow is definitely an afterthought.

You probably ordered the N54 kit. I was on their website yesterday. Also cant you use your old C clip to connect to your throttle body?

I may be doing this upgrade soon. I already ordered the DCIs to start.

I actually ordered it from ECS so it’s possible they sent the wrong one. My C clip is on the side of the road somewhere lol

Reno STILL isn't complete.
They've painted the house and installed flooring. Kitchen appliances were promised March 7. Then May 23. Then June 13. Were finally installed Friday (June 21). BUT needed a flex duct, and couldn't find the gas regulator. (It was in the box, but not where they expected it.) So, still no cooking. Maybe Wednesday???

Regardless. The appliances are out of MY garage!

Deep dusting of workbench and toolbox; broom, blow, blast and scrub of floor tiles; and detail of car - to follow in the next couple weeks.
In the meantime, I was able to squeeze the babycar in there for the first time in MONTHS!

(Not much of a squeeze, really. SO nice to have space to park, and work, and move.)

Plus, my new regs came in.
Good stuff.

I don't know one end of a wrench from the other, so I had someone do this install for me. Love it! Did this, DP, intake at the same time. Great, ridiculous noises from the girl now.

What DP did you go with? I have a set of supersprint mid pipes i need to install as well.
