Today: Done
- Vargas Upper radiator hoses
- Vargas vacuum reservoir

Next week:
- Oil change
- Mosselman oil thermostat
- Alcantara interior trim pieces(thinking of doing door deletes to preserve my original trim, I need to get it upholstered soon)

Near future:
- Turner Motorsports expansion tank(don’t know why it such an expensive item brand new, but I’ve been meaning to clean up the engine bay a little and this will help fortunately and unfortunately!)
- KW coilovers
- Spool performance Helix overdrive(last engine modification I’m doing…with a tune etc)

Given that he mentioned the Whiteline RSFB Inserts, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and assume his floatiness is due to the gawdawful RSFBs on these cars. My Base 128i also felt unbelievably floaty in in the rear until I swapped the RSFB's. Maybe not floaty compared to a much older car, but still awful.

Went to get some propane. She looks happy what do you guys think? New DCI’s amd new PCV valve replaced over the weekend.

Still getting a DSC shadow code intermittently. No warning lights though . 005DEC I already have the rear speed sensor. My project for next weekend maybe 🤔 🍻

[QUOTE=BMWCCA1;31273342]Not really the way this thread is supposed to work but, as the owner of a 128i 6MT M-sport for several years and a BMW owner for nearly 25-years, your description of the m-sport suspension is inaccurate and unhelpful. But then it all depends on your purpose and to what you are comparing.

Agree on this point. I've also been lucky to have owned an E85 M roadster, along with multiple other BMW's. So a great suspension is a known commodity to me. The M sport suspension in the E82 is not a track monster, but great for everyday driving and compliments the N52 and 6-speed well. I did go with the 135 Bembo brake setup, I would recommend this to anyone in a 128. I will look to M3 suspension parts when mine are worn. As of 119K miles, this M sport is not showing signs of wear.

A 128 is not a 135 by any means, and I'll grant that point. It's a tradeoff of performance for (relative) reliability.

Trying to do a N54 oem oil cooler retrofit, I got the mounting bracket installed just fine behind the radiator support, but the oil cooler hits the A/C lines. I've searched on this as much as possible and only found someone in the UK that did this that stated the lines "need some bending." There are a couple videos on YT and it looks like one bent the lines or something but no one addresses it. Anyone here done this? I have the proper housing for the oil filter and the fender liner with venting and ducting for the oil cooler. Really love getting a bunch of parts together and it doesn't work out.
I wanted to go OEM but I should have gone with an aftermarket oil cooler .....

Just put a coat of Autoglym ceramic spray coat on the E82 for basic protection as it hasn’t had much recently.

Last month clayed, polished and sealed the F10 and R56 so they are done for several months. Next time I’ve got good weather and 3 days to do the 1, will clay, go over with super resin polish and then seal.

Need to address the headlights though - they yellowed up after polishing with the Novus a while back. Haven’t yet gone down the wet sand route which will be next. If that turns out good, thinking a 3M film or equivalent to preserve.

Question Looking for ease of removal and installation order…

2010 135i M Sport N54 e82
Hi,
I’m doing a bunch of the bolt on upgrades all at once…VRSF 7.5 FMIC, cold and hot side charge pipes, charge pipe with TiAL BOV, cold air intake, turbo outlet pipe, and both front and rear turbo inlet pipes, and of course, down pipes.
I’m also upgrading the valve cover to aluminum (had a gasket leak so might as well), index 12 injectors, high performance coil packs, 2 step colder plugs, a JB4 tune, and walnut blasting the cold side of the intake valves. Also changing both fuel pressure sensors, and will be tuning for e85.
My question is regarding the rear turbo inlet pipe removal and install of the new one, mostly because it seems to be becoming a real pain in the ass, in my situation, having to remove the valve cover and intake manifold to do the other parts of the job, would it be easier to take them off prior to trying to remove the stock plastic rear inlet pipe? It’s rigid plastic and doesn’t seem to have clearance. Would this avoid the need to cut it or lower the motor to get it out whole? And second, what is a solution to the flat bracket that holds the lower part of that pipe? It certainly looks like it will be in the way of the new silicone pipe. I haven’t been able to figure out a way to get at the bolt that holds it on, and it seems like it would be very precarious to try to cut it out, and I don’t see a way to move it out of the way?
Thanks in advance for any productive insight!

Has someone else experienced this issue with their M sport brakes? See photo. Front driver side only. Dont really want open a thread. I have replace pads and rotors last year. Pads still have plenty of meat left. I Startted to hear kind of like shirping sound when stopping and now it got worse and can hear grinding noise when stopping hard. I already removed wheel and spinned it with my hand and had someone pressed the brakea (Engine running) but canno hear anything abnormal . Brakes stopped fine. Im thinking it cannot compared when rotor is hot and expand also weight of car when driving.

Im thinking it’s probably debris or a small rock cought between the rotor and pads? I will remove wheel caliper and pads today or tomorrow to check clean very wrll and lubricate pins again see if this fixes this issue. Hate working with brakes 😂🙄

This was bugging me and was able to remove the caliper and pads today. Didn’t find any rocks or any debris just was very dirty inside the caliper. Cleaned up everything with brake claner greased up pins and reinstalled. No more grinding noise so far after good drive. See photo. Rotor looks much better. I still hear like a small chirping noise when coming to a stop but that sounds more like pulley or belt noise to me. Its not coming from the brakes. I was more worried about the grining noise but is gone for now. Well get into the other noise and see…,

Glad to hear it just needed more grease! I was going to say that or a rock stuck in there but looks like you already nailed it.

Productive morning, did a full interior detail and applied leatherique to all the leather. Will clean off later tonight after the sun bakes the leatherique into the leather.
