Put the 261's back on and changed the oil. First time using the quickjacks on the 128i.
The N52 F10 528i also got an oil change and new plugs....think they were due....Huge gaps and little nubs instead of electrodes. Been a while. Car ran great just had a little stumble at idle. The quickjacks arenpt long enough for the 528i! But its wasy easier to lift. ![]()

Brought her in for service at 155,550 miles.
Oil change, and a minor coolant leak. Loving the Eibach over Koni suspension setup, and ExtremeContact Sport 02's. Recommended the same tires to my buddy with a full Dinan suspension / CarBahn Stage1 2020 M2 Comp, and he feels the same. Fantastic ride, response, and grip. If anybody's looking.

Consider all the nearby hoses and things as well. Maybe the belt and pully at the front of the engine while you have the clearance to make it an easy job. |

My OE radiator cracked at 120k. Not too bad IMO.

Palomar Mt in North East part of San Diego or about 1hr drive from beach Taco shop to summit store is about 13 miles (store is at 5200ft elevation) lower half is 5-7% grade and some flowy stuff if not stuck in traffic. Make left on too South Grade fork about 6 miles up, 80 some turns, 20 of which are banked switchbacks. Some cattle grates along the way to check your tire fitment and rubbing ![]() popular road for cars, motos and cyclist. Going down East grade is longer, more flowy higher speed turns and little less wear on the brakes. |

CSF's OE 135 replacement rads are, currently, ~$80 for manual trans and ~$62 for the auto version over at RockAuto this morning....
I have a new still in the box CSF for the auto trans you can have for less than whatever RA is charging shipped & taxed if ya want it...

But I couldn't find a shop within driving/towing distance to install it. Dealer lowered his price by 10% on parts and labor. I had him order the OE part. I got 155,000 miles out of the first one. If I can get that out of the replacement, well, that's longer than the car is likely to last. Hoses were done in 2021 at 130,000 miles. Belt and pulley were done at the end of 2016, 90,000 miles ago. I'm having them inspect the rest of the cooling system to see what else is ready.

I had polished them a few times but it didn't stay clear for more than a few months. A clean set of lights all around really does make the car look newer than its 16 years, 150k miles all in the northeast. I replaced the headlights a few years ago with new (halogen, so not crazy expensive). And soon after found taillights from a low mileage car.

No bad, although I would have gone for the OEM SS ones.

Now with correct pic
Hit 150k. Clutch, water pump, radiator, headers, tune, Recaro CSs, and more fill my head for the future. Should probably do some of the X position sensors too. Front Windshield probably pretty soon like end of July or next month. We have to buy an entire rear screen just get the seal, right? Mines absolutely falling to bits.

When I was shopping around the BMW Performance stainless steel looked like they have become unobtanium so I sort of settled with these. I do like these though. There is also a black set if you wanted a more discreet look. Without any rubber areas, the more flatter surface on the acceleration pedal might get a little slippery.

Changed (manual) transmission fluid to RedLine MTL. I was using D4 ATF before, so we'll see how different it feels.
I also changed diff fluid after my break in period for the LSD. 75w140 NS, as recommended by MFactory. I have some friction modifier I can add if it chatters too much. Autocross tmrw we'll see how it goes!! |
