Are the primary o2 sensors interchange or have certain sides for certain colors?

I just had downpipes installed and have thrown a few codes... i had a leaky charge pipe that may not have helped but regardless i was wondering if the o2 sensors before the cats have to be in a certain side.

I heard the grey wired o2s go on one side and the black on other... after my DP install ive gotten a few codes and saw that where the grey wire is on the bottom o2 is not where the grey wire is on the top, they are switched...

is this incorrect? Or are they interchangable on the left and right? Or is it true grey on one side black on the other...

I'm not familiar with this, but are the pigtails the same length on both o2 sensors? That might be a way to tell which one goes where.

they are very similar and the grey one that is on my left most DP seems a bit stretched.. it is very hard to see how much slack is on the other downpipe as it sits higher and there is a few things obstructing the view...

well mine secondary o2s are reversed from what they are supposed to be and I am throwing a variety of codes, one that includes a description of inverted 02's , they are both supposed to be the same color on each side.. my primarys are correct... blackk one being in the o2 that is easier to access...


any tips on how to get the secondary o2 out from the passenger side? i tried today and it was hard to get a wrench in there..



My car has been running rich as can be with this issue as well and i think i may of fouled my plugs, have new ones at my house wiating for me to get these o2s right... hopefully its just the swapped secondarys giving me issues..

from datalogging with jb4 it seems my timing is doing crazy things as well... didnt expect to hit a bump with this car so soon, but it comes with the game
