How do I adjust the hood to decrease the gap between the hood and the bumper cover? I tried twisting the rubber screws that are connected to the hood but it didn't seem to close it any.
Any suggestions? ![]() Last edited by kabalm18; 10-29-2011 at 08:58 PM.. |

I don't know about the 1 series, but every other car I have owned you just had to turn the black rubber hood stopper to adjust the height.

The connecting latch adjusts. You can twist the latch up or down to adjust how far the hood has to go down to latch shut.
Here is what I'm talking about: ![]() Remove the black screw to the right. Be careful, its a plastic screw so be gentle with it. The black base will slide off towards you now to get this: ![]() Now you can twist this up or down to change the latching distance. Twisting it closer to the hood will close the gap. Slide the base back on and put the plastic screw back in and done.
