Folding Mirrors
Is there a way to get the folding mirrors to fold in on lock and re-open on unlock without coding changes? Im not missing and idrive setting or something?
Much invloved with recoding this stuff? Ive had a search and found fairly limited stuff.

I have searched for the net for solution but unfortunately there is nothing u can do unless you purchase a kit from a US company which will offer this function, but it cost more than $300. Other than that, we can't DIY to enable this features.

Just wanted to add to this thread. Successfully coded my 2010 E70 X5 today. Mirrors now fold in and out with lock/unlock. Remote trunk now closes as well as opens and removed all the disclaimers from iDrive. Just how i wanted it now!
Took a fair bit of reading and frigging around to get all the programs and cables working, but was worth it.

Can we have electronic speedo coded onto our dash clusters like the E9X M3? That's one thing I miss that I've got in my other cars.
Folding mirrors on lock would be a neat feature too! Who can do this in Sydney? Edit: Duh! Luster, i just noticed you offer coding services in Sydney! What else can be done? |

Investment in a $100 approx cable from eBay, free software and plenty of time and you should be able to do various coding yourself.
As mentioned www.************** is a good place to start. Various things include tv/DVD in motion, folding mirrors, idrive disclaimer, digital speed display, speedometer showing accurate speed, warning gongs etc are all possible. I ordered my cable today so the fun awaits when I have the time to get my head around the software! |

Looks like that link is censored... Must be a no-no... probably an agreement between the board admins and BMW...
Can someone link me to the right cable - just so I don't go buying something dodgy? |
