There are many products on the market that have fantastic long term results and Opti-Coat is one of them. For me and my car, I choose finish (gloss) over durability. But then again, as a detailer, I like to try many products too. Stay tuned, we have a 1M that we will be trialling a new paint protection system on. |

You can apply sealants to the PPF. I have even seen some put OC on their PPF. |

But that's why you have the PPF in the first place - to protect the paintwork.
I wouldn't mind seeing what sort of marks you are getting on yours... Re marks under the PPF - as I always say, the key is in the preparation! That's where I'm different to most detailers |

I've marked the PPF I've got on the bonnet after stupidly trying to remove some oil stains with soapy water & a fingernail. Looks pretty bad, but otherwise the PPF is still looking mint. I get these oil stains after chasing some of the older cars at track days. |

Ventureshield is great stuff. I highly recommend it.
I got my car done in Brisbane by this guy called Dijon but the job was not up to my standard considering the premium I paid - bubbles and creases. Plus peeling. Lesson learnt. Have a look at some of the examples from USA installers on this forum - it should be hardly noticeable and perfect. Also try to find people that have had cars done by that installer to inspect their work. Make sure you get a really good installer that has done a car of your exact model before. Kits are model specific. |
