Cleaning wheels
Ever since I bought my Z4 and now that I have the 135i, I have used various products for cleaning the brake dust off my wheels with good results. A few weeks ago I ran out prior to my usual weekly wash. I use a foam blaster for washing the car and decided to use it on the wheels. The brake dust dissolved quite well and after using the wheel brush the wheels and tires were completely clean. The next time I washed the car, most of the brake dust washed off with just the pressure of the hose with clear water. The remaining dust was completely gone after using the brush. I'm through with buying special wheel products and just using the car washon the wheels.

I need to get a foam blaster. I hate cleaning my wheels. They get so filthy so easily. If I ever go aftermarket I will get darker wheels just so they don't show all the brake dust.
Which brand foam blaster do you use? |

I'm using one of the commercial car washes with wax, I usually buy whatever is cheapest. I got the Foam Blaster from Griots Garage.

I've been liking the results with zymol wheel cleaner gel (diluted 50-75% with water) plus zymol wheel coat between washes.
Also tried Griot's garage's paint sealant with great gloss but very tideous application. |

I've used Chemical Guys Wheel Guard for a couple of years and it seems to work really well in making cleaning easier, particularly if a couple of layers are put on.
