was looking at the car today during its wash, I think were fortunate not to have a spoiler, the natural curve is quite nice. ( I guess this is color dependent view)
Maybe CSL trunk is the next best thing.

i think jbspeed or some other asian carbon company has spoilers for e87/81
i tend to like spoilers for hatches that have a 1 inch gap for air sort of liek this AC S spoiler http://www.ppcgb.com/uploads/images/...13187110bi.jpg //// Sourcing a DISA intake for the 128i excited

Just installed my DISA manifold.
6 hours in total. The items connected to the bottom are the trickiest and took 2 hours to solve. More on that sometime later. Everything went back in quick. Results? I love the boost from 4-6k. Will see how the DME adapts, dont think i need a tune so soon. I always felt the car was Jakyl and Hyde after 4k. Now it truly is. I guess for track a tune is needed vs just a manifold. I wonder if stock 128i tune is different from 328i, maybe it will adapt different. EDIT: DISA update: 1 tank of gas later, and the best part is the low end torque for traffic/ street driving. Fuel econ is improved by about 0.5 l/100. The "Flat spot" is a non issue with 6mt & I don't notice it unless I am looking for it. FYI I posted about Magnaflow direct replacement catted headers/exhaust manifold in the e90post n52

If you ever need any power, just find some curvy roads and you will forget about it.

As of a few days ago my 128 comes with the best possible option, not available at any price. It will not make it faster or look more aggressive. It's paid off!

For DIY I followed the Z4 manifold swap on zpost, I could append that great DIY with some tips for 128i. There are areas of surprise attached to the bottom of the manifold that require Torx 30 or to unclip the plastic lid of the box and be careful. I didnt disconnect the strut tower brace. Step 1 is to find an X3(I got this one), x5, 530i, 330i or z4 3.0si manifold. Step 2 is to take it apart, remove all sensors and DISA Step 3 clean it & rinse it. Water & soap Step 4 connect one DISA at a time. Turn on car and see that it closes when idle Tune, lol 6mt is my tune I dont see the need for one right now. I should dyno to see how bad that Dip is vs Xi or 328i, also to see if I need to change the intake from stock to Eurobox, AFE magnum or similar I messaged some tuners and learning about what the x28i does with DISA.

Other North American tuners exist, but have yet to give me clear answers or I need to contact them (Evolve, OE, ESS) DISA works on its own too, but its not used for its best potential. However, seems that ~255 hp or ~220 whp is where their tunes top out at for x28i with DISA. Then there is the expensive world of German tuners: MS tuning, Digi-Tec, Winter tuning, DS-motorsport, etc.

Small update on DISA & no tune 1.7 gas tanks later:
Really need to get this dyno'd something good is happening, its smooth as if almost no DISA. The new torque is very welcome at stop & go conditions, something that people who have AA tune describe. I don't think its just my perception, it could be that 128i DME map is different from e9x 328i. Especially since people have said 128i is underrated in HP/TQ rating. Some logic: - Dyno's we seen for 128i hint at it being a bit over 230 hp - I saw a German grey market stock 128i dyno & tune dyno: http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg812...pg&res=landing Converting from kW it is ~240 hp stock. With tune the German 128i ~277 hp. ( all gains are as most german tunes - at top end; with no DISA the increase in curve is a convex/expoential slope) - Furthermore, the 2011 n52 x3 and 528i had DISA and were rated at 240hp.

I used http://www.car-part.com/
Got lucky with a local yard having a car in their USA location. Paid 300 after tax for the X3 manifold, then got 10% off because they lost it their inventory for a week. I inspected the gaskets and decided not to replace them, saving another 30-50. Used the sensors from my original manifold to avoid any issue from the junked car. I didnt really clean the sensors, except to wipe off oil. Cheaper than any tune lol
