my n55 dyno results

Temp 65 degree
location - Dyno Spot Racing in San Jose
Dyno - DynoJet

baseline was 261hp / 293tq (did the baseline run last by accident)
map2 was 291hp / 321tq
map7 was 305hp / 316tq

mods are in my sig.
I am also on 20% e85

Numbers didn't want to settle anywhere... esp in map 7 (tried 3 runs in this map)
.
Not that excited about the visual results, but my butt dyno is VERY happy

Just a question, but dosen't the DME take some time "miles" before optimum performance is achieved, changing maps between dyno runs seems questionable, might lead to lower than expected or odd results.

I originally started the runs on map7 and did a total of 3 pulls on that. Since my numbers seemed strange, i opted to do 1 run on map2. After that i realized i had no base run and did it last. My numbers are low but the car feels strong, especially with the e85 and higher boost from map7

The numbers do seem a bit low. Could be that particular dyno though. Did you by any chance ask them what other cars have run?

Also, I'm assuming map 7 on an N55 is 100oct? it is on the N54.

Sweet numbers!! I have no idea how to judge my numbers as this is my 1st dyno ever.
I think the only way to know if my numbers are true, is to get another n55 on this dyno for comparo

Seems normal especially with your gas, but what is up with that dip around 4k rpms?

Yea our 4th gear is out 1:1.
This means you get the most accurate reading.

Also when I run E85, I give it a day or so before going to the dyno. I run map 5 so it has to adapt to the new gas mix.
If you are able to talk them into letting you do a few more pulls, put it on map 5 and give it a day before you go back.

Did you pull some logs during the pulls?
If so email them to Terry and see what he thinks.

Hope this helps.

I will for sure have to make another trip for a dyno day in the near future to do my pulls in 4th gear.

I have had the e85 in since last Friday and started running map7 then as well to give it good time to adapt.

I need to install my usb cable still so that i can do some data logging.
Will probably wait to install the cable so that i can order / put in the e85 wires at the same time.

Does anyone have any guesses on why i would have that dip around 4k though without having any logging done yet?

It almost looked like he shifted gears, but probably some loss of boost. The air to fuel ratio looks a little lean maybe that has something to do with it.

I've gone 12.4 in the 1/4 mile before on that map with straight 100 octane gas. I love it, but $8/gallon lol.
e85 is way cheaper and gets you, I would say, ~80% of the power.

Depending on the price, I might be down for a dyno run too. I want to get an upgraded fmic first though.
