KW V1 - Adjusting them? Some other tweaks....
Is there a online post or adjusting instructions for Kw V1's on a 135i?
I need to do some light tweaking. I assume I need to have the car in the air, but do I need to take the wheels off? And whats the easiest/best way to tighten the upper shock bolt (the one in the trunk behind the carpeting) without everything twisting? Can that bolt be tightened with the car on the ground without any ill effects....I want to make sure its tight. Thanks, JB |

You're probably done with this by now, but for future reference. The nut in the back, you need an allen key in the damper bolt itself, with a 16mm turning the nut. I think the allen is key is a 5mm or 6mm. No twisting.

you must be speaking of the front (which I have not yet adjusted) as the rear uses the spanner tool (or whatever its called) around the purple grooved piece....all you do is turn.

Just had my V2's adjusted for ride height. It requires alot of work. Had to take off wheels, loosen a few nuts in the rear end to relieve tension and then adjust the height. Took about 2 hours to do both rear and front.

Right, I was referring the question about tighten the damper nut in the trunk. Front and rear use the spanner wrench. I pull the wheels to adjust mine, as you can't get much swing in there. Make sure you unlock the set screw in the front, sometimes it's not looking you right in the face.
