no you are correct i should have taken a stock 1m with me when i dropped mine off.
i do have a friend with a stock one so will ask him to drive me down when i collect it. That way we can make a true judgement. |

Just to up-date
As already mentioned elsewhere, Robin was closest with his guess although it made more lbft than anyone predicted Final figures are 454bhp with 530lbft Thanks to the amazing SPEC R intercooler and hard pipe kit we were able to run this power whilst retaining 23 degrees intake temps with 12 degree ambient air temps... That's over a 50 degree F difference between ambient and IAT. That looks too high to me. 15 - 30 should be the norm. Am I missing something? Can you share your dyno charts with us?

I'm still trying to make sense of the numbers ... Seems a few differences between countries here!
So the 454hp is at the flywheel correct? I don't get why using a dyno measuring hp at the rear wheels would then be 'calculated' to a number for 'at the flywheel'. Why not just stick with the rear wheel figure? Perhaps it's a uk thing but its strange to me. Would you happen to have the rear wheel hp number? |

Only true flywheel/engine power figure is the use of a bench dyno. Starting to see more tuners now setting up hub dynos but all can give ATW figures but seem to stay clear due to the lower recorded figure obtained. |

Whenever i see an Evo with stage 1 tune for example they make 400bhp in the uk or 400whp everywhere else. So the 1M has 335bhp at the flywheel in the uk but everywhere else claims 335whp in standard form.. For me i see it as the same figures just a different name whp or bhp. The figure is taken from the wheels however, to calculate the true "wheel horse power" you then have to calculate the transmission loss to give an accurate number. The uk tuners all state the power made at the wheels without calculating the transmission losses- hence the power made at the crank is what we all go on. Glad you were impressed dung8. I've forgotten how the 1M feels in standard tune so wasnt sure you would notice much difference. Definately The best tweek ive done to the car, was getting the geometry set up by RAY WEST tuning, its made the car more stable with 454bhp than the standard set up was with 335bhp lol. I'm in talks with a few firms regarding some twin scroll turbo's and a tubular manifold which along with supporting mods should see power to over 500bhp i hope...
