AFAIK, you can only get the one with the mesh. The one without the mesh (as shown on Rieger's website) was their prototype. Apparently you can't buy that one. I think I'd have preferred to not have the mesh, but I'm OK with having the mesh as well. At least the mesh is only in the middle, so I won't have to paint anything behind like you have to do with the BMWP/ebay diffusers (on a white car, at least).

FWIW, I've ordered the gloss black one for my AW 135i. I'm hoping it'll do a good job of covering up the BMWP exhaust, as that's my main reason for buying it. With the stock diffuser it looks a bit like an oversized fart cannon, as BMW appear to have designed it for use with the performance diffuser.

Can it really be that difficult to cut out the mesh if you don't want it? If it was installed, that would be one thing, but some pliars would do it without an issue.

If you ever wanted to add the mesh back, you could just uninstall, epoxy some small metal tabs, layer on the mesh, and bend the tabs back. No big deal.

Considering you have to screw in the mesh to begin with, if you don't want it just leave it off.

You think the UK distributor witll ship to Australia?
Whichever way I turn, it is the freight that kills the deal.
Out of the US at USD294.50 + Freight USD273.43 = USD568
Out of Germany from Rieger at (say) USD236 (Euro189.00) + Freight to Austria shipping agent (Shipito) USD?? + Freight to Australia from Austria USD480 is >USD716

Ok, so Australians pay 70% more for iTunes music than US buyers, but this is getting ridiculous.

In fairness, Australia is a long way away. It's quite costly to ship iTunes music that far...

Sarge, is that gloss black or carbon? Looks good with black wheels and shadow line trim! Mine is cashmere silver and I think gloss black would work for me. Thanks for sharing.

Finally got mine fitted to my AW today. I got Rieger to leave the plastic in the middle, rather than having the mesh. I prefer it this way as I didn't like being able to see the top of the muffler through the mesh (and that big-ass red Rieger sticker!).

I think it compliments the black wheels and window trim (and grilles) well.

Put mine on last night. Fit is great, but its not super secure in the clips along the upper edge. Ill see how it holds up.
