Blackline LCI Taillights - Question
Hi guys,
As I've been looking into purchasing these tail lights, I was wondering if I would need any coding since my vehicle is not equipped with LED tail lights or headlights. - My car does not have xenons package* If anyone could let me know, that would be great, thanks in advance ! |

There are different part numbers for Xenon and non-Xenon equipped cars. They will both plug and play but the functionality changes. e.g. The LED strips don't light up if you get the wrong PN and have non-Xenon headlights.
A search through one of the open threads should find it easily, I'll take a look if I wrote it down as well.

My tail lights have an LED strip but they don't light up. Not sure if there's a difference between the lights, which is why I asked if they would be pnp. This also confused me to think that my tail lights werent LED's. |

This thread has all of the information in it somewhere
The PN ending in 282 seems to be the correct one. I ordered mine from Schmiedmann, others have ordered from ECS as they seem to have the correct lights currently. They did not originally though.

Is there anyone that has equipped their "halogen" 2012+ LCI model with orginal LCI LED tail lights or LCI Blackline tail lights? I need to hear from someone that has done this before making a decision whether I should purchase these tail lights, as they may not work.

Translation: The tail lights you are looking at are 100% PnP with ALL 1 series cars in the WORLD. (aka doesn't matter what model, also doesn't matter what year) But I understand you want to be 100% sure before spending $350 dollars. What I'd do is send Satalite a PM and ask him. |

And yes I do want to be 100% sure before i throw away 350-500$ for a pair of lights that don't work with my car haha. If there's anyone else that knows much about halogen LCI 1ers being equipped with Black lines please let me know! |

I would take a look at the Halogen LCI cars that tried to convert in that thread. I don't remember if they worked or not off the top of my head, so it may be worthwhile to search for 20 or so minutes looking for that post in that particular thread

Its been proven in past LCI threads that the Xenon LED tails will work just fine on Halogen equipped cars. No extra adapter harness is necessary. IF you are getting LCI Blacklines order the #282 kit - that comes with both tails - it is cheaper than order each tail light separately.

I'll post some results, for people who are wondering if it will work for the LCI halogen equipped 1ers, since nobody has said anything about the LCI models. |
