Question about complete headlight units

I know that the angel eye discussions have been beaten to death, so I apologize in advance.

I read all the threads on here about this and have gotten myself more confused. I have a 128 with normal, halogen lights. I really want the angel eye look, but do not want to pay $1500 ti have bmw do it for me. Is there a full, complete product I can buy and plug in? Would something like this work?

Also, does new coding need to be done to a unit like this? Again, sorry for bringing it up but I am very confused and just want to make sure that I am understanding properly.
