Probably the added parts alone worth (as used) half of the asking price, so for anyone who would like to drive an aggressively modded 135i, this makes a lot of sense. And those Recaros are great!
Still a point to make: calling it 1 of 1, or more rare than a 1M etc. is a bit too enthusiastic though; every modded car is unique in its own way after all, do we call every one of them 1 of 1 or rarer than a Lancia Stratos It still is a 135i; a modded one, seemingly a good one and for the kind of enthusiast buyer OP must be looking for, this kind of labeling may just be counter-productive. Just my 2c. GLWS.

I see your a 1M owner and I mean no offense by my post but to open the eyes of some who don't know that they have the same engine even with my build w 500hp race suspension, roll bar and seats etc... I'm still under the average asking price of a stock 1M. If I were to keep the car longer it will have a wider track and LSD... making really no difference other then the steering rack and the stitching on the interior. All which can be obtained and still staying under the $60k mark. Some people don't want to do the foot work... and this is the perfect car for them. Just buy it and drive it. To each there own I guess... it beats...a title of... FS: 09' 135i Thanks for the positive words I understand my labeling isn't your cup of tea... But what's done is done Last edited by hugen; 07-13-2013 at 03:15 PM.. |

Don't get me wrong but if your primary goal was to attract someone who was looking to buy a 1M, I believe that person still is going to buy a 1M, even with the price premium over your really well priced car. That's how it is. Your car seems a premium modded 135i and there is nothing wrong with that, not at all. But you have to understand that throwing (even the most premium) parts in it will not make a car something else. So, your target should really be someone who wants a 1 series but modded to take advantage of the platform to its extreme, not a factory M car, which holds a premium for what it is (not arguing if it deserves or not).
I was sincere about the qualities of your car and price looks better than fair so it should really go fast and without any discount. But you have to understand that like any used car market even tuned 1Ms are having a harder time to sell easy and quick compared to stock 1Ms. This is what we observe here since sometime. IMO this is a 1 of 1, not your car or a 1M similarly modded to an owner's taste: http://wot.motortrend.com/we-hear-on...#axzz2YxdQE1VN

Very interesting collection of mods on the 135. I'm not a candidate for a 1M but something a bit less extreme appeals more. A wrapped car that is black under the covers and the roll bar make this a bit over the top, but best of luck with the sale. One thought, the CPO seems completely invalidated by the engine mods. Yes, someone could reverse these but then the price would have to lower to be more in line with an 09 with over 50k miles.

Nice 135! Love the seats. I actually prefer the car in black . Only thing I would change is the rear diffuser and exhaust. IMO, the large rear muffler hanging out the back looks like it belongs on a civic not a BMW.
Agree with oz about the 1 of 1. Really isnt any modded car 1 of 1. I guess a little marketing gimmick! GLWS |

Still cpo'ed my car goes the dealer all the time.. Well not as much any more.. I may just cash out the maintenance and warranty. Because I stop going after the kit and wrap for maintenance + I do more oil changes then recommended anyways. It's a bonus for anyone wanting the car. I'm sure if you wanted to strip it and make cash it'll be a +
Yes it's my marketing gimmick/ catchy title...got your attention right? if it just said 135i you wouldn't have clicked. Can't edit the title anyways thanks for the positive words |

I don't think he is interested in parting it out, I contacted him but did not hear back. In all honesty parting out is probably the best way to recoup some of the $ spent...say'n

Parting out requires alot of labor $ and having the stock parts. Which is the main reason alot of people don't part out.
