It should go into production pretty quick with the plant shutdown and production ending soon. Usually there isn't a week labeled, but I've never seen on take longer than about a week nd a half to go into production.

Looks likes yours is in the same production status as mine "ordered And awaiting production".
I miss my M3 so bad and I'm already going into part shop mode. Most likely I'm going to have cf diffuser awaiting its arrival as well. Anyone else have any good suggestions for mods? I'm looking to probably do as much with 750-1000 (after the diffuser) as possible. Anyone have some good suggestions? |

The blackline taillights I think really finish off the look of the rear end and are relatively cheap at like $300-400. Perhaps one day I'll do that in a couple of years. Goes really well with the diffuser too. |

You'll also want to check out ewyflyer's pics as he has some great deep sea blue pics, and there are a couple of good exhaust clips on youtube, including cars.com even doing one just on the 135is exhaust note (on lemans blue, not deep sea in case you're curious). That oughta hold you over for awhile. Hardest thing that may take a few weeks for you will be that all the i-drive controls are backwards/opposite of the audi mmi ones, so to scroll down on the Audi you turn counterclockwise whereas on the bmw it's clockwise.

Pff, tell your dealership to give it to you at cost and to use your car as a rolling advertisement for the dealership and BMW performance parts. =)
Interesting, I just went and looked even thought the site blocked out the name of the site. They don't look bad, but the thing to be careful about is some of the mesh on the imitation ones tends to be too "open" and you end up seeing a lot of exhaust parts through it which detract from the look. Price is good though. Hmm. Last edited by gregthegr8; 07-23-2013 at 08:03 PM.. |

I think the forum vendors were selling the BMW CF diffuser for a hair under $1200, so more like $700 difference instead of $1,000. In the long run it may be worth it on the diffuser from what I've heard very anal people say, but also depends on your taste and that fine balance. Sadly, I haven't seen the BMW CF diffuser in person and I may spend my entire life with this car teetering right on the edge of getting it or not. From what mb135is has said though, the weave on the BMW one is just perfect and has to be seen to believed. Some of the cheaper ones seem to have crappy/inferior weaves, have weird fitment issues, etc. Those are the pros/cons of the infamous diffuser.
The good news is, you can just live with the stock one for awhile and see what you think. For months I debated getting it, but I'm fine with the stock one and spent my lil extra money on michelin PSS tires, tint, and custom floormats. And $30 for stupid BMW coolant yesterday. |

If it's not yours, someone is getting one fairly similar They've only built 7 more "is" this week, we're up to 526 total MB, looks like another one for your list (Space and coral), up to 6 now |

What's the status of yours Bama?
Also for what it's worth, my vin ends in VY60054 with production date of march 5 I believe, so not sure if that helps with the #s. |

Greg - we've got you included in the March '13 "is" builds, I have it as 3/14. March was a big month for "is" production, I show 56 total
Mine's on TORINO heading to Baltimore - docks 7/30, I am hoping to pick it up 8/16 if all goes well. |

Oh no worries, I know statistically mine's in your charts! Not sure if the vins with those prefixes, etc. were exclusive to the IS so that we'd know 590 something were built between that time or at least 590 135 coupes. I'll leave that up to you and BP. =P
Mine started production on the 5th, so 14th would be the completion date. Soon yours will get here. They seem to move at half speed once out on the water, huh? Just be glad you're an east coast delivery, as west coast ships take 10-14 extra days to go through the panama canal and then up and around. Was frustrating. I wonder how many IS's were on our boat (Toreador that docked in PH 4/19). 3 forum members' IS's we know of. if 56 were made, might explain the logjam and long wait times to get them through port, too. |

That boat seems like it's barely moving, I swear
BP deserves all the credit for discovering the 135i VIN series that included "is" models by looking through the W-W bills of lading. They are as follows: VM12956 - 13899 (3Apr12 - 14Dec12) VU41900 - 41999 (17Dec12 - 15Feb13) VY60000 - VY60641 (15Feb13 - present) The "is" models are mixed in with the other 135 models, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to when/how they decided what to produce in a given timeframe. March saw 135 production as follows: 56 "is" 45 M Sport 20 base 0 LE 121 Total |
