Yeah I know what you're saying. I am actually upgrading my suspension bits and brakes eventually, but for my learning curve, I want to keep stock bits for now, drive, then upgrade so I can learn technique over everything (That was a lot of commas). Anyway, I am saving up some money to do a full suspension overhaul. It'll probably run me close to $4000 or so and that's without labor. I'll for sure DIY as much as possible, but I don't want to mess something up that is out of my mechanical experience.

It always comes down to money! haha

Derek, if you could keep us posted as to the deal with customs, forms and additional fees, that'd be great as I may buy them in the next week and imagine since I'm in CA, would have same procedure/fees as you. Thanks.

When I ordered from Schmiedmann I didn't fill out a customs form. FedEx took care of it automatically. A few weeks later I received an invoice from FedEx to pay the customs fee. I believe it was $15.

I placed an order aswell, I had to fill a HS7 form and Fax or Scan it back to Fedx.

I just placed an order like right now.. What is this form we have to fill out? I thought you just order it and wait for them to ship it to me lol?

Its a form to clear customs.

IF you go thru THIS thread from the "start" you will see what you will have to do. basically when you order from Schmiedmann and they ship via FedEx, you have to fill out a customs form in an email. Then after customs releases your package... and after it gets delivered to your US address... you will get a bill from FedEx. I believe that is how it works. But you can always read thru this thread.

I actually went through this thread a multiple times but never read anything about the whole customs deal. Obviously I didn't read it carefully.

I'm super stoked about finally getting these lights! Thanks for the information David!

I ordered on Monday and it was estimated to be shipped next Monday, but it's already on the truck for delivery!!! BTW for everyone, I chose 2A for the form that the FedEx importer emailed me. I'll keep you guys updated

Man, the price went up $15 USD over the last couple of days while I was thinking about it. Then I screwed up the order by using the bank transfer option. I'll either have to contact customer service or cancel & reorder.
