No codes with N55 catless downpipe?

I've just had a catless downpipe installed, so of course I was expecting to see the check engine light soon after and as expected - it did show up after 3 or 4 drives.

What I didn't expect was that my P3 vent gauge isn't showing any codes? So I am assuming that exhaust issues are soft codes or something like that? Is that the same for others with aftermarket downpipes? Not a big issue of course, I'm just curious.

It takes a while. Some people say 150 miles sometimes. Dont worry though, it will show.

I now have a Hartge piggy back tune but I do not think it removes the codes. Besides I drove it for 500 to 600km before the tune went on and the P3 never showed any codes despite the check engine light coming on.

I'm way past that I am getting the check engine light but no codes?

Again, it's no big deal, I'm just intrigued why there is no code to go with the check engine light?

And if there is a code for emissions that is common to installing aftermarket downpipes - can someone tell me what it is?

I drove with a catless down pipe and no tune for about 3 months. I only got a code 3 or 4 times, I just cleared it with the P3 and it wouldn't come back for a few weeks. Never got a check engine light.

I bought it new - 2013 N55.

Check engine light but no codes, either on the P3 or the vehicle status screen. One thing I did notice though is that the check engine light started coming on more often once the tune was installed. I am an expert at clearing it with the P3 now - I don't even need to look

It really doesn't bother me, as I said I am just curious why I don't get a code. I'm very happy with the tune I have and certainly wouldn't change just for that feature
