I'm running FineVu CR500HD in the front and BlackVue DR400HD in the rear. They are also hardwired so they are on 24/7 and shuts down when the car battery reaches 11.6 volts (this can be set to different voltage). They cables are all hidden and the control for the hardwire kit is inside the glove box so they are easily accessible. This way I can turn off the camera when I park my car at home inside the garage so I don't waste any battery. Let me know if you have any questions. I'd be happy to help. |

You might want to check out this dash cam. It's quite small, high quality and has GPS and a G sensor.

Thanks guys.
I have had a look at a lot of dashcams and have decided on the Hyundai R700. e82m_van after reading your post I think I will run a back one aswell, would be nice to have front and back surveillance while parked. Couple of questions, what % tints do you have at the back, I am gonna have 10% so considering cutting out a hole for the rear camera. What hardwire kit are you using?

I do not have any tints on my car so personally, I cannot say how it will affect the recording. As for the hardwire kit, I am using the power magic pro hardwiring kit. I'll try to snap a few pictures for you tomorrow. cheers. |

Here are few pictures of my setup
This is how they look like from outside From inside. The wires are all tucked along the window and tucked behind the pillars and make their way all the way to the glovebox. And these are the power magic pro's inside the glovebox. (top 2 devices) They are hardwired into the fusebox just behind the glovebox. |

Check out the Blackvue DR550gw-hd. It has 2 cameras. I plan on buying this very soon for additional security. Have read good things about it.

Blackvue does not seem like a good brand:
