VANOS Again
Was getting Inlet VANOS codes, cleaned and swapped, then started getting In/Ex codes, so I bought new sensors. Installed two days ago, car was running great.
Now I got Inlet VANOS code again on the way home from work. While at idle. Only mods: Cobb AP v3 Is there anything else that could be causing this? |

I expect you meant solenoids when you said sensors... Unfortunately the other cause can be camshaft bearing ledges. Allegedly also not installing the little green oring when doing oil filter change... Search the camshaft bearing ledge thing and/or the SIB for those codes and hope it's not the ledges.
Edit: what's you're oil change interval? |

I just bought the car from the original owner about four months ago. He followed the scheduled maint plan to the letter. I am about 2400 miles from my next oil change but just scheduled it for next week.
Yes I meant solenoids. |

As far as I know. So I assumed that's what was causing the failed solenoids. I'm guessing there may be a bit of sludge where the solenoid sits. I just can't see it.
