VRSF 3" DP fitment issues

Hi guys, has anyone ever had fitment issues with the VRSF 3" DP ?

My workshop called me midway saying that the pipes don't fit. They are too large, they touch each other, and the flanges don't line up properly.

Anyone had similar problems ? Or did i get the wrong part?

Fitment Issues

Few factors to keep in mind. Are you connecting to a vrsf catback system? If not, and you're connecting to an oem catback, I would suggest loosening the clamps that hold the pipes in the turbo and then connect to the cat back system. This will allow for movement to align. You may still have to use a pry bar to get a bolt started but that should get you very close. Hope this helps

Im connecting to an OEM catback system.

Is it possible that I have been given the wrong pipes when i ordered them?

Keep everything loose and adjust then tighten, mine fit a little weird at first but now they're good after some adjusting. It would be a lot easier with 2 people

They need to be rotated at the turbo, that is painfully obvious looking at the pictures. It's not just a bolt up and go thing, you have to clock them until they line up correctly.

This^^^ you spin them once the vbands are on but loose.

Your shop needs to apply some common sense, and please contact VRSF directly for help before running to the forum.

thanks for the input guys. I suppose the shop hasn't any experience with our cars. I'll definitely take it somewhere else.

I'd suggest bringing your car to a N54 friendly shop. They obviously didn't rotate/align the pipes correctly. You're supposed to leave the v-bands loose enough to rotate the pipes into proper position with the mid pipe/catback, then tighten the clamps/bolts.

They should fit fine. When I took mine in to be done the shop owner said that vrsf had fittment issues and didnt think they would fit. Towards the end of the install he says that he was impressed with their quality and fit perfectly.

Hi guys, took me a long while to sorting this issue out, partly because i got lazy.

I finally found a workshop here that managed to fit the pipes perfectly without issue. Turns out, the first workshop didn't know their stuff and there's absolutely nothing wrong with Tiago's parts.

Turbo spool is more audible, throttle response is improved, and I'm running map 2 on my JB4 now. Needless to say, the car is even more brutal.

awesome pipes, great vendor, great after-sales service.
