09 135I sports mode?
Hi, I just recently purchase a 09 135i auto and playing around with the sports mode. (flipping the transmission lever to the left). What does that do to the car to make it different from the standard position? I see I don't have to use the paddles if I don't want to as it does change gears somewhat differently.
Thanks for any info.. |

At the very least, moving the lever to S would make the car hold gears much longer than it would on D. You're more likely to reach redline with S mode. With my DCT, that's petty much it but it also has a "sport" button which increases shift speed and throttle response. With my now gone 6AT N51 328i, it also made the throttle more responsive. Not sure if there are any different functions with your 6AT.
You may also experience increased throttle response in S mode. |
