Knotchy tranny (Input please)

Hello all,
The past couple weeks I've noticed that shifting into gears is knotchier than normal. I've had my tranny fluid replaced last year with Redline oil, cdv modified, clutch stop and bushings replaced with aftermarket ones (last year). This week I took out 3 metal spacers from the BMS clutch stop. It did get slightly better, but still knotchy. I do notice that when pushing the pedal down harder that shifting does feel much better. I have 2 bottles of Redlines' "MTL" oil I will try as soon as I get time to dump it in. My car has 78,000 miles on it and the clutch and flywheel is still the original since day 1. What should I do?

Im guessing your clutch needs to be replaced. It may not be releasing completely due to it being worn out and not working 100%. This will keep the gears spinning in the transmission, making the syncro's less effective and make shifting harder.

Does the trans go into gear easier when the engine is off? Try putting the car into gear as you switch off the engine. IF so, its your clutch.

Yea... I would try new RL fluid and see. Then look at your clutch. Make sure the clutch disc you use has nickel plated input spines.
