another .far file question
I'm also interested in how you decoded the .far files. I've been searching the internet for info on .mpower files for ages and this post is literally the only place I've found any info their structure. Now that I've unzipped them I have to figure out the .far files which according to all of my searches are either audio files or something to do with The Sims. Neither of those seem right to me. It looks like you've figured them out and any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Ditto.
Exported the .mpower file from the App via Email, then Unzipped it. Now I have a folder full of .far files: - acceleration.far - acceleratorPedal.far - brakeContact.far - consumption.far - currentConsumption.far - distance.far - filteredAcceleration.far - filteredLocation.far - gear.far - location.far - locationExtended.far - metadata.plist - rpm.far - speed.far - speedRecord.far - steering.far - vehicleType.far - waypointStartCrossing.far How do I then convert these to a data file Dashware or RaceRender can use? |

My work schedule is a PIA, so I have to plan way in advance. I haven't been to the ridge yet, so I am looking forward to it!

Haven't been paying attention here the last few months but if anyone needed help decoding their M-Laptimer PM me - you will need to be comfortable running something on the command line on a Mac. On a PC you will need to know how to run a PERL script because PC doesn't come with PERL interpreter

Thanks for the video, tour of the Ridge and your comments on the 1M on track.
I recently purchased an AW 1M and plan to track as well. I have done VIMC (Vancouver Island Motorsports Circuit) four times in my previous car and plan to try the Ridge and Area 27 soon. I am over in Victoria. I have Vorshlag camber plates on the way and all fluids were done last month. Right now I am just driving it on back roads and getting comfortable with the car. |
