If it's applicable to the B25 then I'm in and I reckon I can get two others to make it work and there are a few lurkers on here who are interested. $495 is a GREAT price so will see what happens!

i would also be interested in this if it ever comes to light. this thread is a bit long and im too tired to read through it all. My initial preference would be for a local reseller/support such as from Andrew, rather than buying from OS so that if something does go wrong it could be more easily rectified.
re transmission: i think the 125i uses a diff transmission to the 130i |

I just got reply saying that he can supply tunes for all inlines 6's. So I guess we just have to secure 3 more people and we are sweet.

Its an inline 6, so yes. They have it advertised on their website as giving an increase to 205kw (20hp) and 13lb of torque (dont know the conversion to nm).
Edit: I am not sure on the price, but I would assume it would be the same as the other N52 tunes. Last edited by IDriveACamryNow; 02-13-2011 at 02:45 AM.. |

I think the guys in the US were getting 7-10 rwkw?
I think this GB fell through... hard to get flashed in Aus If you've got the N52B30 go for the digi-tec ... or if posting the ECU overseas this opens up even more options, like wintertuning etc. |

The German tuners are getting results like this:
280 PS and 325Nm 125i tuned dyno run… more info here... http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=528152 And here is a video of a tuned 125i vs a 130i. PLUS the tuned 125i is a Vert! heavy vs light! This green (tune'd) Vert is the same car that we met at the Ring this Sunday! http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...=495114&page=5 Dackel |

Dackel - I'm assuming the Chiptuning will require ECU to be sent overseas.
However, 999Euro is pretty OK for the estimated results on Stage 2 for the 125i. |

Yea... you have to send the ECU over to a tuner over here. There are four or so tuners that offer N52 tuning. The N52 is a rare engine where you can get such a large gain in HP with just SW. I think the reason is bc of BMW using DISA for the intake induction. I think the US tuners don't even go into DISA tuning changes - that is why there is such a big difference in HP between the US tunes vs the German tunes. Dackel |

The price would most likely be under 2/3s of that. Shipping depends on the company and the day you send it (and day you need it delivered). Make sure you describe the item in English AND German to reduce delays. The tune is great value, but you dont really get the max out of it as the transmission is not up to the task (or at least the T/C in the auto case). The GA6L45R has a 145TTD TC in the 125/128 and 171TTD in the 130/330. YOu notice the limitations of the stock TC when flooring it, as 50% of the time it feels like a sprinter doing the 100m in clogs. Its not that expensive to switch over the TC to the 130 spec and I will be doing this next month (my last mod). It has a higher stall speed and multiplies more torque. |
