Freezing Window Frame Fix
Hey all, this is a repost of an older thread.
Prevent your frameless window from freezing and preventing opening/closure. Use a strip of painters tape, with half of it on the bottom of the window, and the other half on the rubber seal. Be sure to dry off this area before sealing it up. Obviously it is not the best look, but it works excellent as an overnight fix where it typically gets frozen over. Using some silicone lube in there wont hurt either. https://postimg.org/image/s2iljqz9x/ |

I just would not own a good car that I cared about that I could not park inside. There are lots of cars I could own (but maybe not love) that I could park outside, but a 1-Series? No way.

Keep your door seals well-lubed with silicone spray and a rag. Do this every few weeks during winter months. Do the same with your wiper blades.

Is this a common theme or only some cars exhibit this?

I bought the car to drive and wear out. It shares the garage with one of my other cars, and is outside all day when at the office.

I apply Gummi Pflege to my seals every 6 months or so. Great stuff and made for seals.
