No difference between the seats on cars equipped with sport package or M-Sport, same with the steering wheel. It's the base, comfort seats you want to avoid which are more commonly seen on the 128i.

This is true.

I swear the Sport seats in my first 1er, which were Coral Red, felt more comfortable than my current 135i, which has black seats, and it's not just because the black gets hotter. That beautiful Coral Red just feels better because it looks so damn good. Hahaha

Since we have a concensus, let me ask this then--If you were shopping for a 128i, as I am currently, and you were having trouble finding a 128i with 6MT and M Sport package, as I am having trouble finding, would you consider buying a non-M sport and then try to later find and upgrade the seats, steering wheel, etc. with the M Sport stuff "down the road?"

By the way, HELLO ALL! You have just been party to my very first post!

(I just joined to help in my search for a 128i but am still searching for this elusive car because even more vital than sport seats is one with a &$#% stick shift!)

Are those other cars you list under your username yours to drive? If they are I would hold out and continue trying to find that perfect 1er. Good luck! Oh, and HELLO!

Hello! Thanks for the reply. Nope. The 320i and 335iX I listed are cars that I owned in the past. So I am on the hunt for my new 1 and only BMW. Not just tire kicking here btw, ready to buy a 128i right now...and one with M Sport becuase it's worth it!

I'd do a sport 128i.

My first 1er was titanium with red sport 6mt. No M badges sprinkled about but all the seats and wheel and suspension that doesn't come on a stock 128i.

LOVED that car but it went away.....grrrr.

I love my 135i replacement but given the choice I'd take my 128i back in a heart beat.

I'd also trade one of your slow 128i sport or m sports for my super fast 135i.....

it looks great, but if it doesnt change the suspension like it does on the e90 I honestly wouldnt be going out of my way to pay extra for one. I drove an e90 m sport and it was amazing fun compared to my 5er.

m sport also gvies u the M style foot rest, door sills, anthracite headliner. 261m wheels, and seats&steeringwheeland im pretty sure thats everything.

but most importantly sport package gives you all this anyway besides the anthracite headliner, m footrest and door sills, and 264 rims instead of 261.

Yes, don't buy car without it. You'll find yourself looking for M seats, steering wheel, coding to remove speed limiter etc. and end up spending more $$ than what an M equipped 1er would have cost anyway.

M sport package doesn't remove the speed limiter. It raises it to 155 MPH.
