Are they 18" wheels? What tires size do you have at the moment?

They are 17 inch stock wheels. I am running 205 50 17 in the front and 225 45 17 in the back. Which is the stock staggered setup.

The stock M207 are 17x7.0" front and 17x7.5" rear.

I suggest the maximum you should put on them is 225/45/17 all round. Since the front wheels are different size, you should be carful to keep them on the front only (Do not rotate the wheels). The car will feel less stable if the 7" wide wheel is used on the rear.

If you want a wider rear tire, you can physically fit a 235/45/17 on the rear, while keeping 225/45/17 on the front. However it won't give a handling benefit on the stock rim width. The 235 is likely to handle worse than the 225, due to the way it moves on the rim.

Thank you very much for the info. I will stick to stock then.

Garage List
2009 BMW 135i  [8.50]
You could try snagging a set of 4 rear 135i wheels and then with some 10mm spacers you should be able to get 245 all around. It might be a bit of overkill though

Alternatively you can try to snag some rear 128i wheels to put on the front then you can safely run 235 tires.
