RB Turbo next gens tune question
Hello,
I drive a 09 135i w/145k. Here are my mods ST adjustable coilovers VRSF Chargepipe with HKS off valve BMS cone filters BMS down pipes JB4+ piggy back Fuel it stage 2 LPFP Active Autowerkes intercooler Agency Power exhaust Oil catch can RB Turbo next gens My JB4 died before the install of the turbos, the turbos were installed this week. My question to you is would you replace the JB4 or would you take it to Bimmer Performance Center (BPC) for a custom dyno tune? I seriously need help here. |

I'd go for a custom tune if you can spare the cash but how did your JB4 die? That's kind of a rare thing to happen.

My car stopped boosting. I took it to the mechanic & after he messed w/ it for a few days he came up w/ the front Turbo was bad. I ordered my RB's had them installed & guess what. No boost. Hard pill to swallow. Yes my turbos would of had to be replaced at some time apparently just not yet. Yes there were oil around them but the car always preformed flawlessly. So my mechanic replaced some vacuume hoses two boost silonoids. Long story long my JB4 was not sending a single to shut the waste gates. Pulled the JB4 & my car goes. BPC is saying a custom dyno tune will give those turbos a minimum of 500hp. I just ordered the P3 boost gague. Hope it isn't hard to install. I do like hearing the new turbos spool.

Upgrade your intercooler to the VRSF 7" High density
For most power, you need flash + JB4 Get Jb4, MHD and use the free BMS BEF
