mhd on stock clutch

Hypothetically let's say you had an n55 with 55k miles and let's say that it's fbo. Then you decided to tune with mhd, would you wait and see if/until the clutch slips, or would you go ahead and install a clutch while you have the car in pieces? WWYD?
Asking for a friend lol have a great day!

Tune notwithstanding, if you have it "in pieces" enough to be close to the clutch, replace the clutch. Do the rear main seal while your there. Decide if you want to stick with the DMFW, or go SMFW and do that too.

Seriously, you're not in that deep very often, why wouldn't you do everything while you're there?

Well if the question is "will it eventually slip", the answer is yes.

Unfortunately, none of us know if it will be minute 1 or a few thousand miles down the road.

At the end of the day, you can tune it and "send it" as someone else said.

If it slips, you shouldn't be surprised.

If it doesn't, enjoy it for the short period of time

If you are staying with 500HP or less, go with a new DMFW and Spec Stage 2+ Clutch Kit, it's very popular and offers great performance and drivability.

If you are ok with raising the idle, you can do a SMFW and avoid most of the rattle noises.

Well ya see I'm already in deep with very limited time to do all of these tasks. So if there's a possibility it will hold up through the summer I'll take my chances.

Well ya see I wouldn't be surprised at all if it slips but as I said above I'll just try it out if it does, good and if it doesn't, well then good! I think 500+ is in the foreseeable future but probably not until another couple of years. Not building for comfortablility or dailying so I favoring a smfw. Thanks!
