Battery looks fine but my brother must have let this old jug of water spill out into trunk area. Only about 1/2 of the gallon of water spilled, but it did not fee moist and no smell? It spilled in the rear right of the trunk (under the taillight). Maybe this caused it? What should I do now? It runs fine no errors! Any recommendations? This all started out w a TPMS ERROR then the whole electric system.
He went and got groceries with my car last week, hence the jug of water that was left punctured and in my trunk.

Get that dried ASAP before you get corrosion in the electrical connectors.

This reminds me that I need to do the BMW factory tech fix for potential water problems in our cars....to drill small drain holes in the pockets which have electronics in them.

Problem occurred after a spirited drive, makes sense the water sloshed around. Will have a new shop check out and dry electronics in affected areas. Old shop didn't bother checking (dimwits). does anyone have an electrical diagram of the trunk? Maybe TPMS module is under spill area?? Thanks!

Shop was useless, took apart the trunk carpeting myself. Found the cubby behind the rear passenger wheel arch in the trunk was few inches submerged in water. Probably from a spill last week in that area, unfortunately on top of the "module cubby". Some light mildew was growing. Got rid of that with bleach and am now trying to source a used TPMS/ABS module. No PDC on my car and I don't know what the other module holder is for, so I only need one module. Yay? Other thread is on Coupe/Vert general discussion "spilled water in trunk..."
