There's a guy on the forum selling a few of these for a decent price if your not looking to spend 300 or however much they go for

JB plastic weld will more than likely not hold up very long if at all, might as well do it right the first time.

Tough spot for epoxy, but you've got nothing to lose. If it were me, I'd bend up some stiff metal rod (welding rod) in the shape of the tab that broke with a couple inches of overlap on the ends, heat it up red hot in the center, and press it into the perimeter of the tab. It should melt in and hold. Then put a little epoxy on the cracks (having cleaned them thoroughly), reheat the ends of the wire, and press them into the cover, holding the tab in the correct position. Now epoxy over the welding rod to ensure it stays in place. Worst case scenario, you buy a new valve cover.

Just fix it properly and put a new valve cover on.

The problem is, can i return unused parts to BMW? All i can find is kits including from BMW that include all the gaskets and such ive already bought so i don't want to throw away an additional $200 on top of the other $500-$1000

Edit: yes i can, so i guess ill just buy a new one
