Powder Coat Color Advice
Hi all!
I have been thinking about getting my wheels freshened up but I can't decide what color to go with. The car is space grey coupe and the current aftermarket wheels are a weird bronze grey color that is somewhat similar to the paint. I have been going back and forth between something kind of crazy like a dark grey/blue color, a bronze/goldish color, or even just classic satin black. If anyone has any opinion or advice it would be much appreciated. Thank you! |

Hi PNW.96,
You may already know this, but you can go to the tire rack site and choose your car color, then choose different wheels in the colors you are considering to see what they look like on your car. It may help you decide what you like best. Cheers! Craig |

One thing: if you have silver trim around the windows, I would do silver, or a light metallic grey color on the wheels. If you have gloss black trim, I would do a dark metallic grey or satin black. It ties everything together if you match the wheels to the window trim and looks really good when matched well.

I painted mine from silver to graphite.
Makes a big difference in hiding brake dust. Silver was awful!

I've been wanting to do mine "brake dust" color. Aka mattte gun metal.

Imo the silver alloy color looks best on Space Grey. Black would probably look cool too if you got the right style rim.
If you go black wheels I bet the goldish/yellowish performance brakes would look good. |

It's really just a matter of your personal taste and style. I tend to like silver rims on most colors, because they tie in with the somewhat large headlights of the car.
If going black, I'd probably do some kind of machined lip to add some contrast, but YMMV. |
