That's been my sense--but I like how 1's look a lot and going back to the manual is somewhat tempting. Fact is though, I really like having the auto when I want it and the DCT is pretty engaging as it is. I'm feeling excited again about the possibility of getting the M3 to work with some different seats. I would love to continue setting it up how I'd planned to and eventually SC it. |

I'm in the camp for keeping the M3. Love my 135i, but I was so close to getting an e92 m3 - probably my favorite M car.
For seats - depending on budget - look up amx_performance on Instagram and AMXperformance on FB. That guy does some amazing custom seats. If you want e82 sport seats (I think they're exceptionally comfortable) people sell them around here when swapping for racing buckets.

Screw that just buy the manual 135i and daily drive it. Don't need 2 cars. Double down on 1.
I used to commute heavily in my 1M and it was a joy! Makes every commute more enjoyable. Now I don't need to drive to work so everything changed.

When I bought my car a couple of years ago, the M3 was on my short list, but I chose the 135i, because I like a smaller car, despite knowing that I'd spend enough on 135i mods to get me to, or maybe even past, the M3 price. Suspension, LSD, wheels tune, etc.
That being said, it sounds like you like the M3, so just switching seats makes sense. |
