Since I got it I've polished & clear coated the front headlights, installed the FXX style grilles, rear black line taillights & did the rear fog light mod.

Before you get too far ahead of yourself be aware that you posted this in the 1M section of 1addicts -- you'll probably get more traffic outside the narrow confines of this forum.
Side note: where did you source the grills? |

Also yesterday I took some pictures of both my 128i & the 135i. I'm putting the 128i back to stock, since I'm selling it.

Here are some pictures of how my 128i looked before parting it out. I will keep the Alufelgen wheels & the Seibon hood for the 135i. I also kept & installed the cf steering wheel cover, the black line taillights & the BMW Motorsport emblems.
I wish I could've kept the coral red interior with the full black conversion but it's imposible since the 135i has power seats & the sunroof. |

I bought my son a new 2009 128 and as of today, he has just broken 70,000 miles. White with cream leatherette (looks like new still). He has added side skirts, BMW tuned exhaust, CF spoiler, Mstyle front facia and Mstyle wheels. Really looks nice!
Excellent DD. |

You're a cool dad. I think a 128i it's a perfect car for a teen to get started in the European car scene. And it seems he's modifying it really nice. I hope he gets to enjoy it a lot.

It's been a while since I posted here, but since I live in Puerto Rico & we're in quarantine I decide to spend some time on the car.
The door panels where starting to peel of, so I fixed all of them, then I went and fixed a crack on the resin of the carbon fiber hood & I've done som progress on my custom steering wheel. The wheel has been a little project I've had for some time, it's forged carbon fiber, custom shaped, with perforated leather, white stitching & a 12 o'clock white stripe. This has been time consuming & tedious, but it's starting look like a finished piece, or at least I'm half way done with it. |

Some progress on the steering wheel, the forged carbon can be appreciated after a resin coat on it. Still after some other steps it should look a lot more glossy & deep.

So the quarantine was extended for 2 weeks, so it looks like I'll be painting the front bumper & at the same time I'll be cleaning the whole front end of the car, since the bumper's off.
Since it was damaged in the hands of the previous owner. |
