What freon should I use to recharge my A/C ?

So I heard that our car use r-134a for the AC, but it seems like in Canada, the only thing that we can buy is r-12. Will it work ? Or should I pay someone to do it ? Thanks a lot !

It's refrigerant.

Also, AFAIK all 1 series are r134a, which is incompatible with r12.

Best to have someone do it for you I think.
