How to: 135i (E82) Front Bumper Removal

Hey everyone,

This is a DIY video on how to remove the front bumper on my 2008 135i. It was a pretty straightforward removal and it allows a lot more access for things like intercooler install, oil cooler installation, etc. The only difficult part was getting the clips undone at each end of the bumper but a trim pry tool made quick work of it once we figured out how to undo the clips.

Tools needed:
-jack/jack stands
-8mm socket
-10mm socket
-Various socket extensions
-T30 Torx bit
-Trim pry tool

Hope this helps!

-Eric

This would apply to a 2011 as well no? It's with the pre Lci lights.

Thanks!

Exact same way I pulled mine off my 2011 for installing new headlights. I didn't have to worry about the headlamp washers those as I don't have them.

It took me about 30 minutes to pull mine...and it was the first time I had pulled a BMW Bumper.

It was surprisingly easy once I figured out how to get the clips off. we had just done my buddies M4 bumper the day before and it was much harder than the 135i.
