or 120k on a 997 gt3 manual + 80k on a modded RS3 dct ? and probably lose less on depreciation.

To be fair, TTS buyers don't care about depreciation and are passionate about that specific vehicle. If tracking is your only goal, there are definitely better options for that much money.

i just bought a current gt3.

-new one doesn't look all that good aesthetically, spoiler looks dumb, its physically bigger and most likely will be heavier. the turbo s increased its weight by 100 pounds this generation, for instance.
-they will retain the 4.0 flat 6 so i doubt we'll see a big power bump. most of the performance will be aero, tire, gearing related (8 speed pdk)
-trying to get a new 992 gt3 is going to be hard unless you wanna overpay (which will probably keep 991 values up for a while).

Pretty sure they confirmed it's lighter.

Front suspension from cup car. Yum.

Spoiler is love it or hate it. I'm not a fan, get the touring.

It will definitely surpass the 991.2.

Porsche continues to amaze, but the 720 is a rocket considering it is now onto its 3rd year. I have put 6k onto mine and it is an absolute blast. My only quip is that it is a bit quiet for my preference, but that is what the 765 is for.
