1M Air Duct fit on 128/135

I am trying to fit a 1M bumper on my 128i. I opted for the air duct version and removed my fog lights. However, my original bolts do not seem to line up with the air duct. Do I need a specific 1M wheel cover lining or perhaps I may need to do some cutting? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

The rear of the duct is supposed to screw into the oil cooler.

Oil cooler and water cooler hold them up. I opted to do the water cooler later so it's suspended by some strategically placed zip ties.

Could you guys clarify where these brackets are? I think mine is different because I have a 128i

There are no brackets. The duct is made to attach directly to the oil cooler and auxiliary radiator. That’s the whole point of the duct; to seal against those heat exchanges and promote airflow. You don’t have either of those so you’re going to have to Fab some sort of brackets from hardware store stuff to add an attachment point for the rear of the ducts.

I see. You know if there has been a post out there yet retrofitting this air duct for a 128i?

I haven’t seen one but there are good retrofit threads for 135i on here which should give you a good idea since the 135i doesn’t have any sort of cooler on the driver side. I’m looking to sell my stock oil cooler, plumbing, and thermostat housing for $100 if you care to add an oil cooler and that will take care of your mounting for the passenger side. All you’d need from there is an oil filter housing which can be found super cheap on FB or eBay.
