Interior foam removal?

Hello. Both the front door panel skins have peeled off. Is there a way to COMPLEATLY remove the old foam to make it look a bit less ugly? Thanks.

In line with that, is there a way to remove the insert to recover without having to remove the entire door card?

Looks like no to both questions.

I had the inserts delaminate off of my e46 and gave up on trying to clean the deteriorated foam from the panel/fabric. Stuff was awful.

Edit: looks like someone was able to save it with some serious elbow grease

I just did my headliner a few months ago and the adhesive seems very similar, it might sound a really bad joke but a chancla works like magic, it removes most of the big chunks of adhesive and after that you can use a hard brush to clean the area.

I picked up some Super 77 adhesive off amazon and reglued my leather inserts on the door panels today.

My pass side one was about fully off and the driver side had a few small spots. Taped off the door around the inserts because I didn't want that glue on stuff it wasn't supposed to be on. Then sprayed the glue and reapplied the inserts.

I just did this about 2 hours ago and so far the inserts are back on the door panel like they should have been. I didn't remove any of the foam behind them though, just sprayed, push and held for a few minutes then let go.
