This is interesting. My 128i has the Euro light switch, but it is different from the one depicted here. Mine has a vertical thumbwheel on the left side of the switch with two numbers, 1 and 2. I wonder what this thumbwheel is supposed to adjust - fog light height perhaps, and is it active in non-Euro cars?

Is there a part number or place we can buy the switch?

Well, look at what you can find when you're bored and looking through old posts... This was a great idea but I took the freebie approach from this thread:
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=610664 My 2012 135i (5/11 build date) had the white "lego" pieces in place so I just popped the tabs and voila! fog lights. Thanks everyone! |

My 2013 128i M-Sport has the circuitry and just needed the tabs removed from the button face. did it all this morning, took about 20 min and no coding needed, I have working rear Fog lights! YAY!! thanks for all the knowledge here!
I would like to know more about those lights being activated during braking though. I can't seem to hit the braked hard enough to activate those lights. |
