Sorry for the ridiculously late reply! I have since sold the Accord 2.0T. Man, it was an awesome car-- but I made a bit of money with lease equity. The GTI and E46 (so hard to find a clean one!) are mainstays!

I appreciate the W203 love. SUCH an underrated chassis, haters can hate. It's so interesting how it was called Capri Blue in the US but Tanzanite Blue in Europe. It's a bit of a random/rare find, not manual, sadly but I love my Bremen-made beauty. It's as posted a 2004.5 model which is quite a small run (seemingly, found some evidence in old forum posts in the Benz realm)-- because it has the pre-facelift interior (amber VDO cluster), headlamps, tail lamps and slightly different front bumper, but being a Sport, it has the staggered 5 spokes, blue tinted glass, cross-drilled front MBZ stamped rotors, door badging, 3-spoke steering wheel, aluminum trim, "sport suspension". It is riding on H&R springs and otherwise OEM suspension. It's M271 motor is very well serviced, has had timing chain done as preventative maint as was common, as well as a new supercharger, the timing chain stuff isn't too far from BMW-ville lol. It's a 1.8L mill, so it's nice and diesel-like and clacky when cold but when it's LiquiMoly gets warmed up, it's pretty refined, smooth, with a beautifully steady idle and linear Kompressor feeling.

Here is the original window sticker and a couple more pics.

2003 s10 My daily I just finished up. Belltech suspension, Rotiform wheels, Lightened flywheel, Core short shifter. She's slow, but fun.

Agree! Fun getting to know another brand, and this time, no forced induction
My Foxwell scanner now has MB software loaded on it phew!

Really enjoying the easy going nature of the benz as the DD.

The 135 feels like a gokart by comparison

Give me a slow manual car I can drive at 9/10ths over a modern powerhouse any day.

Fantastic! Specs? And how did you end up choosing this one? Have you had Porsche's before? As someone who spends time every week looking at used Caymans on the interwebz I'm interested in how you got here. I'm not ready to buy myself, anyway, and tbh I'm also not really sure I'd actually get any more enjoyment out of a 987/981 that I do my 1er. (?!)

The car is a CPO 2024 base model with 3,500 miles. 6 speed manual, sport chrono, PASM, sport exhaust, 20 inch wheels. It is my third Porsche. I bought a 944 when it was new (a clue as to how old I am ) and I actually drove that car for 20 years. The 944 was replaced with a 968, which I sold shortly after I bought my 128.

I have been interested in the Cayman for years and planned that, when it came time to buy another car, I would probably get an M240i, M2 or Cayman. I test drove all three cars. I felt that all were very good and I believe I would have been happy with any of them.

The Cayman is less convenient than the 2-series cars…the interior space is limited and, as you might expect, the interior is not as quiet as the BMW’s. The handling, however, is sublime and, in the end, led me to favor the Porsche.

M2, m240 and Cayman...those are the same 3 cars I'm looking at, but to replace my Macan. I'll keep my 128i forever. It owes me nothing at this point and with all the suspension mods, it's a blast to drive.

I’ll look forward to seeing which one you get. Enjoy the search!

^^ oppo, keeping the macan 3.6 tt and looking for 981 or M2C to replace the 135i. tough to pull trigger since e82 is built up the way I like and the DCT is butter.

Nice cars, nice garage and wow, an extra bit of air in those tires and it looks like that stack won't fit anymore! Exactly how tight is that??
