Enkei TSV fitment

Could I fit 18x8.5 ET38 front and 18x9.5 ET40 rear if I rolled the fenders? I believe the tires are 225 and 255. Would this fairly significant change from OEM cause any problems? I’ve looked through the Fitment section but my findings were inconclusive

the fronts for sure can fit the rears though seem a very tight fit, they are almost 20mm poking out of the recommended offset

Yeah that’s what I’m worried about. I’m gonna roll the fenders and the dice lol. I haven’t seen anyone saying it’s possible, but this dude had them on his 135i with rolled fenders and said they didn’t rub

If you really want them you can do the E90 hub swap. Brings the rear wheels in 10mm per side. They will likely rub even with fender roll.

They are sick and I’ve got a great deal, so I’m gonna try them. I measured and it’s gonna be really fucking close. I’ve got about 5mm extra with current setup (11mm less poke) and I think I could get another 10mm with a fender roll

I'm an expert in what will fit. If they are nice wheels and nice deal you can make that work. Hopefully the current tires are a brand that runs smallish like Falkens, Toyos, Nittos. I"d "pull the pins" in the front before taking the take in to an alignment shop to get them to add some rear camber. With my mildly lowered car I can get 3deg camber in the rear. Camber will work, try to get the shop to keep the toe near zero to help reduce tire wear.

Rolling/pulling fenders, trimming the fender liner, etc will not get you 10mm, more like 3-4. The rear tab where the fender cover connects is the problem spot. My wheels are listed in my signature. I finally did the rear hub mod and now no issues (btw it does not give you 10mm, more like 7-8).

When I did the conversion it was exactly 10mm.

Do you need to do the brakes too, or just the hub and bearings?

There's a handful of threads discussing the swap, but ECS actually has a kit with everything you need

Update:
They rub a little. Might be my shot dampers, but they still rub. I could see them fitting if you cut the fender instead of rolled it, but I don’t know if that’s a good idea

Increase your rear spring rate and add some rear camber. Also cut your rear bumper tab, fold it back, and grind the fender lip down some.

You may also need to fix your ride height. If your suspension is shot you likely need new dampers and the springs themselves may be sagged. If you're lowered you may be too low and need to raise the car up some.

Keep in mind that Rake changes wheel and tire clearance too, and our cars handling is very sensitive to rake as well.

Otherwise you need to look for where the tire is rubbing.

I'm 18x9.5 with 275/35 tire and effective offset of +53 in the rear. You're half an inch poked compared to me. You may need to run a 245 width tire. For example when I went from +53 to +48 I rubbed, at +53 I don't rub. YMMV every car is different.
