F1 2025: US GP - Austin (Oct 19)

Max is absolutely thriving, and Piastri is cracking (Lando seems pretty even keeled). Can't underestimate the experience of being a 4-time WDC right now.

Only issue for Max is he needs to be absolutely perfect from here until the end,any DNFs or other issues and it's over. If anyone can do it, it's him though.

Just watched qualifying. Wow, that was some lap from Max.
And the media keeps going crazy. I bet Max is Dominicali's best friend. Can you imagine how boring this F1 year would've been without Max?
His racing skill is unbelievable, and all the team bosses and other drivers know this.

I still think PIA will get the WDC as his lead is still considerable and there has to come some circuit that'll suit him...
Then again, I wonder if he gets some sleep this night

If Max gets the WDC again this year it'd be such a big middlefinger towards Zac Brown... that would be monumental

I bet the McLaren development team in the factory is working overtime and completely stopped working on next year's car to save this year's WDC.
Next year will belong to team MERC (and probably RUS) anyway.
Maybe AMR can do something about that with Newey&Honda....but they have to factor in the STR factor, that's a real handicap.

It's early to bed and early to rise with PIA I'm sure but what counts is on the track and we know the situation when MAX smells blood which means more worried looks from Brown. At the moment it is optimist Lando that's having a ball knowing Oscars weaknesses.

MAX needs a 'sprint' start to not get caught up in that collision nonsense which none of the McLarens want also but they are the ones at risk especially Oscar back there.

It's very clear that Max has such a feeling for the balance of the car and how to handle the shift of inertia through corners (especially the Senna S'es).
Max is faster on pure racecraft.

McLaren has the best car of the field. They just need their drivers to drive it to the checkered flag without racing incidents. P2 and P3 is good enough. Verstappen and Russell will be the kingmakers, 'eating points away' at their expense.
