128i ecs tuning exhaust kit

Hey not sure if anyone is even on this forum anymore, but I've been slowly working on my e82 build for a while.

Got the the ecs "muffler/res delete kit" they sell up on the lift with the provided clamps it seemed to shift around alot so i tacked it in place and she stayed. sounds amazing. In 2nd gear at 3k rpm when you let off it burbles now. (mind you this is a very de tuned n51 sulev)
and at higher rpms she roars, havent even done cat delete with new headers but have them. its just a big project.

OEM exhaust used 3 points of contact (hangers)
2 on one side and 1 on the other

new exhaust only uses 2 points of contact
both are on one side which means it can shift to that "empty space"

i intend on fully welding the sections as best as i can and welding a stud to utilize the old 3rd hanger location. so it wont move back and fourth. wish ecs would have made that revision or included a note about it.

anyways just sharing thoughts and feedback here if anyone is thinking about doing this. ask away as learning is our greatest accomplishment to humanity

Yes absolutely!! I will have my son record something this weekend. not sure if it will catch the burble real well, but I've friends behind me that can hear it well while driving. For a little over $300 im happy with it. just needs that extra hanger spot imo. also didnt get the tips but she does get hot on the bumper cutout.

Side note i didnt add before but first start up it was not happy. engine bogged down and shut off. threw 7 codes. but now rpm on idle is right around 600-700 which is normal for my car. so it learned quick

I have the Flashark headers also just waiting on new hardware and some time in my driveway. The lifts at work are all tied up, and it looks to be a job where I have to attack from underneath and top together.
